What is Yángzhībáiyù?
羊脂白玉 (Yángzhībáiyù, or "mutton-fat white jade") is considered the highest quality and most sought-after variety of white nephrite jade, particularly the prized Hetian jade from Xinjiang, China.
It is known for its snow-white or creamy white colour, often described as having a milky, pearlescent lustre that resembles the white fat of a sheep, hence the name.
