A continuous hand-painted landscape wraps around this handmade porcelain gaiwan. Turn the cup to follow rocky slopes and russet trees towards tiled village houses and a tiny figure in orange. Misty grey peaks fade into the ivory-white glaze, with faint mountain ridges on the domed lid echoing the scene below.
The gaiwan includes one porcelain cup, a fitted lid and a matching saucer. Steep loose leaf tea directly in the cup, then tilt the lid slightly to hold back the leaves as you pour. Try it with oolong or pu-erh for short, successive gongfu infusions.
